We have talked about being close to this number but today it is finally official. Communiversity has successfully collected over 1,000,000 college related pictures and videos to help paint the picture of what college life is REALLY LIKE.
This is an exciting milestone for us and we looking forward to what’s next for Communiversity!
Have fun,
Michael

Hey Everyone,
The cool thing about being a young agile startup is you can make important changes to the website that have a big effect on things.
We are a few weeks out from pushing out some new updates and I wanted to hear what you (our awesome community and followers) have to say about the site and what we’re doing (or not doing).
The new updates will focus on making a better page creation/user review process. Adding more relevent information about schools to our pages and a few design upgrades that will make the pages flow nicely.
So let us have it!

Over the past few months we have been quietly working hard to create the new Communiversity. Since our first launch in early 08’ our heads hit the grind stone as we listened to all your great feedback and put together what we think is the best platform for not only collecting college content within our own walls, but also leveraging the openness of the web and integrating two more great sources of content from other REAL college students.
Communiversity now offers YouTube videos and Flickr photos!
With the many open APIs available today we have begun the first phase of aggregating the heaps of rich content on the web and distributing it to the thousands of school profile pages within Communiversity.
We have big plans.
The all new Communiversity comes packed and stacked with several new updates:
- Dynamic home page + real time “freshfeed”
- New school profile pages with new content sources & “mini freshfeeds”
- YouTube videos for each college
- Hundreds of Thousands of Flickr images related to each school uploaded daily
- Simplified navigation & slick new design
- And many more updates that will make your experience better than before!
We think this new direction opens the door to a to amazing possibilities for creating this resource of “college life content” for prospective college students and current students and alumni to stay up to date with what’s happening around their campus. (aka hyper local)
“We harvest college life”
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more!
Michael & Jonathon

Welcome to the Communiversity blog!
It has been a long time in the making, but the all new Communiversity website is nearly finished. I am more excited than ever to release our first version and cannot wait to hear your feedback and ideas. There has been much effort to create this platform with our users in mind and we want you to have the best experience possible while browsing and uploading the college experiences of America’s top Colleges and Universities.
We hope you’re ready to share, upload and post your college experience!
Our first release will be to a select group for testing and feedback. Once we are confident that our late night, redbull fueled development hackathons have paid off, we will release it to the world.
Stay tuned,
Michael
